HABARLAR-L (HL) is an open, currently moderated mailing list dedicated to
the news on Azerbaijan and related topics, as outlined below. This
introductory message provides general information on the purpose, scope
and guidelines of the list, which will be helpful to the new subscribers

Currently, HABARLAR-L is the only world-wide list server news distribution

California. It is a listserv-type list, using CREN LISTPROC 8.0,
temporarily moderated, and anyone interested may join it. The news posted
in the HABARLAR-L by its owners and members/subscribers DO NOT necessarily
reflect the official point of view of USC, University Computer Services
(UCS), it's staff, faculty and/or students. The opinions expressed here
are of their respective authors/writers.
Subscription to the list is a privilege, not a right.

HABARLAR-L is a medium for news on Azerbaijan(i)-related issues such as
culture and arts, history, religion; economics and business; politics,
humanitarian aid and refugees; education, science and research; travel,
tourism and geography; sports and entertainment; and of course the topic
of high importance: Internet trends and developments in Azerbaijan.

The official languages of HABARLAR-L are: English (preferred) and
Azerbaijani (Turkish is also used). Transliterated Russian is also used.
Other languages or coding are prohibited, unless are accompanied by an
allowed language/coding.

The subscription to the list may be revoked, _with or without_ notice,
if any of the rules are broken or if the address has repeated problems.
NO binary files are permitted, even if they are related to Azerbaijan.
However, pointers to a Web site, USENET Newsgroup, mailing list or
